Dorothy M. Olson

Dorothy M. Olson, age 88, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Sebring. She was born March 21, 1925, to Vernon L. and Lucille (Frame) Casbon in Valparaiso, Indiana, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1980, coming from Plymouth, Indiana. She was Valedictorian of the Class of 1943 at Lincoln High School in Plymouth, Indiana, where she was named Outstanding Girl; was Editor of the Yearbook and a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She was Office Manager for Agway, Inc. in Plymouth and was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of the Ladies of Sun N Lake Auxiliary, Sun N Lake Crafts and Conversation and a founding member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Kralovansky; Barbara Barnes and Joanne Bennett, all of Clearwater, Florida; Nancy Olson of Miami and Carol (Carl) Wilson of Arizona; sister-in-law, Shirley Casbon, of Plymouth, IN; granddaughters, Jacquelyn Holt and Kate Wenger and one grandson and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Olson; son, Greg Barnes; brothers, James and Kenneth Casbon and grandchildren, Michelle and Roberta Inks. A Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at The Palms of Sebring, with Rev. Cecil Hess officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Pulmonary Hypertension Association and American Cancer Association.
