Dorothy Jean Kackley

Dorothy Jean Traylor Kackley, age 89, of Sebring, FL, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 29, 2017.  She was born March 3, 1928 in Blountstown, FL to C.T. and Maggie (Bozeman) Traylor.  She has been a resident of Sebring, FL since 1945 and was a graduate of Sebring High School where she was the first Miss Sebring High and football Sponsor of 1946.  She worked as a Sales Associate for Beall’s, retiring after 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring where she proudly served as one of the Kitchen Angels.

Survivors include her Son – Steve Kackley; Daughters – Sandra York (Jack), Sharon Culverhouse (Tom), Sheila Peck (Jim), Kathy Haley (Roy); Sister – Louise Heston Stiles; Sister-in-law – Jean Kackley Ganoe;  Grandchildren – Christy and Ash Kackley, Harmony Butler, Crystal Ford, Melissa Sowa, Jason York, Jeni Byrd, Clinton Culverhouse, John, Charlie, and Jimmy Peck, Lisa Baker, Drew Haley, and Gina Pike;  Great Grandchildren – Ciara and Tristan Kackley, Logan, Skylar, Regan, and Tegan York, Kyli and Jaci Byrd, Madison and Camden Culverhouse, Brody, Easton, Shake, and Charlie Jean Baker, Stetson Pike, Makiyla Kackley, Donavin and Macklin Butler, Hannah, Ruby, Forest, Lilly, and Willow.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sebring with Rev. Matt Crawford and Dr. Allen Higginbotham officiating.  Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.  Private graveside services will follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sebring, 200 East Center Ave., Sebring, FL 33870.
