Dorothy Lucille Gladue

Lucille Layport, age 82, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on October 7, 1933 in Wauchula, Florida to the late John D. and Lucy (Green) Randall. Lucille enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, canning fruit and vegetables and working cattle. She worked for the Highlands County School system driving a school bus for many years and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her two daughters: Margaret Kelley (Donnie); Nancy Nielsen (Bruce); one son: Mike Layport (Lorna) all of Sebring, two sisters: Betty Moore and Gloria Schroeder both of Sebring, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Lucille was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Eddie Layport and son, George Eddie Layport 2nd husband: George Gladue, and granddaughter, Rebecca Jean Johns, and two brothers: Johnny and Bobbie Randall.. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016 beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Dan Chaffin officiating, burial to follow at Bassinger Cemetery in Okeechobee, FL.
