Dorothy J. Dampier

Dorothy J. Dampier, age 78, went to be with her Lord and savior on July 15, 2015. In Heaven she joined her husband, Roy J. Dampier, and her two daughters, Dorothy Treat and Patricia Treat. Dorothy is survived by six sons: Roy A. and David of Lake Placid, and Steven, John and Jack of Sebring, and Jacob of LaBelle; six daughters: Nancy Harris of Wahneta, Martha Gonzalez of GA, Sharon Torres and Rose Dampier of Lake Placid, Wanda Wester and Deborah Dampier of Sebring. She also left behind 1 brother: Nelson Durrance of Sebring and two sisters: Cindy Nealy and Billy Jo Skipper both of Lake Placid, 45 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy spent most of her time raising children and grandchildren however in her spare time she enjoyed caring for her flowers and working in the yard. She will be remembered for her Sunday dinners and spending time with her family. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2015, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring and a funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 10:00am at the funeral home with Jeremy Howell officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service on Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Arcadia, FL. A reception will be held at Wanda Wester's home located at 599 Max Avenue in Sebring at 3:00pm.
