DORIS GRAY BENSON Doris Gray Benson, age 87, of Avon Park, FL passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 in Ormond Beach, FL. She was born September 19, 2011 in Bladenboro, NC to Everett and Velma Gray (Hargette) Gibson. She was a Nurses Aid at an Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center, enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. As a high school student, she played basketball and was a diver. Mrs. Benson was of Methodist faith and a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1956, coming from Macon, GA. She is survived by her daughter Terri Lynn Stone (Frank) of Ormond Beach, FL; Son Bill Benson of Sebring, FL; Grandchildren Carrie, Darbie, Candice; Great Granddaughters Alexis, Julia, Kimberly, and Brittney. She is preceded in death by her husband William Speer Benson. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Rev.
