Donna Jean Hanood, 84, of Sebring, FL, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1940, in North Charleroi, PA, to the late Eugene and Margaret Brant. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Edward Thomas Hanood, with whom she shared a beautiful life and many joyful adventures.

She is survived by her two sons, Peter Hanood of Bay Village, OH, and Thomas Hanood (Kathryn) of Portland, OR; her sister, Helen Jane Bagnall of Tampa, FL; and her cherished granddaughter, Leota Belle Hanood. Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, who was the love of her life.

In 1996, Donna and Edward moved to Sebring, FL, from Ohio, where they enjoyed many wonderful years together, filled with travel and new friendships. Donna was an active member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, where her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.

Donna was known for her love of life and her many interests. She enjoyed planning family vacations, shopping, and playing cards with her church group.

In retirement, Donna loved being a substitute teacher in the Sebring school system. It brought her great pride when former students would recognize her around town, a testament to the positive impact she had on so many lives.

Donna’s family will forever cherish the memories of her kindness, energy, and the love she generously shared with all. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
