Donald Glenn Waters

Donald G. Waters, age 87, passed away on August 12, 2019. He was born March 31, 1932 to John and Bernice Purkapile Waters in Rock Falls, IL.  Donald had been a Sebring resident for 25 years coming from Morehaven, FL. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Don had a very adventurous spirit and also enjoyed a very diverse career.  His hobbies included playing his guitar, walking every day, working in his backyard, and building birdhouses and lawn statues. For entertainment, he enjoyed Western movies and country music.  Home life was the most important thing to him.  Don said many times that he had enjoyed a long, happy life.  He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia; his daughters Connie Waters and Julie Thielsen; siblings Darrel Waters, Dale Everly, Doran Everly, Velma Gorton and Donna Wooldridge; grandchildren, Dorthy Thielsen, Shawna Applegate, Derrick Waters and Jordan Roberts; and six great grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery.
