Donald Albert TerMeer, age 74, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was born in Kano, Nigeria, West Africa on February 6, 1938 to Albert and Eva (Marvin) TerMeer. Don and his wife Jean joined Sudan Interior Mission (SIM) in 1962 and faithfully served the Lord for about 30 years in Nigeria and at the SIM Retirement Village in Sebring, Florida. Don loved the Lord as seen in his faithful service to his Lord and all those around him. Don is survived by Jean his wife of fifty-one years; a son, Jeffrey of Sarasota, FL; a daughter, Christine Hagen and her husband Stephen of Sebring, FL; a daughter-in-law, Heidi TerMeer of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren - Jennai, Seth and Elianna Hagen and Jada TerMeer; a sister, Dorothy Vander Velde of Fruitport, MI; a sister, Betty Rosenquist of Dwight, IL; a brother, Robert TerMeer of Canon City, CO; a brother, Paul TerMeer of Custer, SD. He was preceded in death by an infant twin grandson, Lane Jeffrey TerMeer. The family held a private graveside service. Don's life will be celebrated with a victory memorial service on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 10:00 AM in the SIM Chapel in Sebring, FL with their son-in-law, Pastor Steve Hagen, from the Alliance Church of Sebring, officiating.
