Donald W. Swanson, age 83, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Swanson was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Charles and Minnie (Lickman) Swanson. Mr. Swanson was a Stationary Engineer for a Gas Company, member of the First Presbyterian Church, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, he was a life member of the VFW, member of the American Legion and the Masons, and he has been a resident of Avon Park since 1986 coming from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife-Elizabeth Swanson of Avon Park, Florida; daughter-Suzanne Swanson of Las Vegas; son-Christopher Scott Swanson of Las Vegas; step-children-Robert Puharic of Pennsylvania, Robin Dannahower of Vero Beach, Florida and Lynn Blalock of Sebring, Florida; 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.
