Donald R. Pankuch

Donald R. Pankuch, age 83, of Sebring, FL went to be with his beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born on June 28, 1932 in Lakewood, Ohio. Donald served in the U.S. Navy for nine years and was aboard the USS Kermit Roosevelt throughout the entire Korean War. After his naval service, Donald worked for LTV/WCI Steel, Inc. in Warren, OH until his retirement in 1994, relocating to Sebring, FL. Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura, and 2 children, Jay Joel, at the age of 3 days, and Brian Thomas, at age 49. Together, Donald and Laura had 8 children and 22 grandchildren. There are now 12 great-grandchildren. Donald is survived by his present wife, Louise G. Pankuch of Sebring, and the above mentioned children. Donald had a true heart for serving the Lord and has ministered as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and in the visitation ministry. The angels are rejoicing at Donald’s arrival, and the Lord has surely said, “Well done good and faithful servant.” A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016, 11:00 am, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Sebring with Pastor Kenneth Lambert and Pastor Samuel Vaughn officiating. The United States Navy will perform Military Honors. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
