Dixie M. Marshall

Dixie M. Marshall, 76, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013, in Tampa, Florida. She was born January 4, 1937, to Sebron and Christine (Akins) O'Bier in DeKalb, Texas, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1985, coming from Hollywood, Florida. She had been employed as a Waitress and was of the Christian faith. Dixie was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who loved her family. She is survived by her son, Dale (Sherri) Marshall of Sebring; brothers, J.C. O'Bier; Ralph Cassels and Chuck Cassels; sister, Mary Gray; brother-in-law, Joe Marshall; five grandchildren, D.J. Marshall; Vanessa Lee; Kimberly Marshall; Brandi Bennette and Lauryn Marshall and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Graveside services will follow, at 11:00 a.m., at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Florida.
