Dimitrios L. Tsiokas, age 75, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born March 10, 1939 in Greece to Lambros and Athanasia (Papahristou) Tsiokas. He was an entrepreneur for the majority of his life with many business ventures, until he moved from New York to Avon Park, FL in 1998 with his family to purchase and take over the Olympic restaurant. Mr. Tsiokas has also been a member of the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Winter Haven, FL. He is survived by his Wife - Eleftheria Tsiokas of Avon Park, FL; Daughter - Maria Tsakalos (Jimmy) of Sebring, FL; Son - Theodore Tsiokas of New York; Brothers - Chris, Paulos, and Athanasios; Sisters - Vasiliki, Nitsa, and Toula; Grandchildren - Nikolaos, Dimitrios, Alexander, and Panagiota. He was preceded in death by a Brother - Kosta. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL with Father Dean Photos officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Bougainvillea Cemetery.
