Diane McMullin (nee Scott) departed us on earth and became our angel on January 20, 2024. The beloved wife, best friend, and soul mate of Richard McMullin; a nurturing mother, life giver, and devoted cheerleader to Jessica Gallew (Shawn) and Erin Resnick; a doting grandmother, inspiring teacher, and comforting presence to Gavin Gallew, Skyelynn Gallew, Carter Resnick, and James Resnick; daughter and caretaker of Walter E. Scott and Marie Scott (nee Powers); a granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and uplifter to all she encountered, far and wide.
A Temple University graduate, Diane had a deep passion for education, English, Journalism, and the arts. She went on to embrace many other roles in life - writer, creative, dance mom, track mom, nature enthusiast, seashell collector, researcher, free spirit, resilient breast cancer survivor, and so much more.
Her patience, positivity, outgoing nature, and beauty made her a soul one would be fortunate to know.
Though her absence leaves a void, we find solace in knowing she is our eternal angel, always with us. Seek her in sunsets, the whistling of trees, fragrant flowers, crashing of waves, a good book, a song that makes you want to dance, and the warmth you feel when the sun shines down on you.
To honor Diane, we will host two celebrations of life – one in her most recent home, Florida (TBD), and another near her first home in Pennsylvania (TBD). We will share more details as they are determined.
