Dennis L Ouverson

Dennis Ouverson, 81, of Sebring, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 5, 1943, to Virgil and Ruth (Ballentyne) Ouverson in Clear Lake, IA, and had made Sebring his home since 1986.

A hardworking and talented man, Dennis was the proud owner of a local welding shop, where he was known for his skill and craftsmanship. He had a deep appreciation for antique cars. An outdoorsman at heart, Dennis loved fishing and could often be found enjoying the beauty of nature. His beloved dog, Mitzie, was a constant companion, especially on their leisurely rides in his golf cart around the neighborhood.

Dennis will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, and loving spirit. He was a man who could fix just about anything, but more importantly, he made a lasting impact on those who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and community.

Dennis is survived by his sons, Tom (Susan) Ouverson and Jamie (Kathy) Ouverson, and his daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Fordham and Betsy (Scott) Veith, all of Sebring. He also leaves behind his brother, Roger (Susan) Ouverson, and sister-in-law, Judith Ouverson. His grandchildren, Jesse (Lindsey) Ouverson, Brandon Ouverson, Cody Ouverson, Marissa (Jesus) Rodriguez, Chloe Fordham, and Emma Fordham, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brody Ouverson and Leighton Ouverson, will carry forward his legacy.

Dennis is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethyl Ouverson, his parents, Virgil and Ruth Ouverson, and his brother, Larry Ouverson.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring on Friday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
