DENNIS HERMAN BOYD Dennis Herman Boyd, 74, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at his home. He was born November 19, 1935, to Herman Floyd and Nellie J. (Wenger) Boyd in Rainelle, West Virginia, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2007, coming from Scott Depot, West Virginia. He was a Draftsman for Union Carbide Corporation for 28 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1953-1957 during the Korean War. He was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church in Sebring. Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Kay Ann Boyd, of Sebring; daughter, Kelley (Tom) Class, Birmingham AL; son, Mark Boyd, Sebring; sister, Vonna Carter, South Charleston, WV; granddaughter, Lindsey Stephenson, Washington D.C. and grandsons, Philip Stephenson, Atlanta, GA and Michael Class, Dahlonega, GA. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Whispering Pines Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Trinkle officiating. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
