Delta E. Bond

DELTA E. BOND Delta E. Bond, 91, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2010, in Sebring. She was born December 5, 1918, to Alva and Laura (Lewis) Bond in Columbus Junction, Iowa, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1982, coming from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She joined SIM as a missionary in 1944 and retired in 1983. She served as a Registered Nurse in the Kano Eye Hospital and also worked at a hospital in Alaska with SEND mission for a time. She was a member of Sparta Road Baptist Church in Sebring. She is survived by her sister, Alice Rahe, Bluffs, IL and brothers, Kenneth Bond, Lebanon, OR and Loren Bond, Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the SIM Chapel with Rev. W. Mike Adams officiating. Interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, will be immediately following the service. The family will receive friends the hour prior to service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to SIM, 4114 Nigeria St., Sebring, FL 33875.
