Sebring

Delfin Rodriguez, born on June 24, 1942, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 82. He was the beloved son of the late Catalino Rodriguez and Matias Rosado Crespo.

In 2003, Delfin moved to Florida from Brooklyn, New York, to embrace a new chapter of life, bringing with him a legacy of love, faith, and family. He is survived by his children: Rita Ortiz, Stella Torres, Kathleen Arroyo, Noreen Corranza, Patrick Corronza, and Joseph Rodriguez; his siblings: Virginia, Junior, Demas, Luz, William, and Elise. Delfin was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A devout member of the Oasis De Restauracion of Sebring and a born-again Christian, Delfin lived his life with unwavering faith. Known affectionately as "Popi" to the members of The Assembly of God in Lake Placid, he found joy and purpose in worship, fellowship, and service to his church community.

Delfin's life was defined by his dedication, kindness, and nurturing spirit. He had a deep love for Western films, especially those starring John Wayne, and classic action movies featuring Charles Bronson. His passion for nature led him to plant and nurture gardens wherever he could, finding fulfillment in watching things grow. A skilled carpenter by trade, Delfin took pride in his work, leaving a tangible legacy of his craftsmanship.

His friends and family will remember him for his fun-loving personality, loyalty, and the joy he brought to every gathering, particularly at church, where he thrived in his community.

Delfin's presence will be sorely missed, but his spirit and the love he shared with others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
