Debra "Debbie" Sue Kopta

Debra “Debbie” Sue Kopta, age 64, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born July 26, 1962 in Knoxville, TN to Frank and Betty (Ellis) Greene. She worked alongside her husband in their construction company, Kopta Construction, past Owner & Operator of Debbie’s Cleaning, and had worked at Belk’s. She cherished her grandchildren and was a Ne Ne to a host of other children. She had a love for caregiving. Debbie graduated from Sebring High School, member of Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, and has been a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1970, coming from Knoxville, TN. She is survived by her Husband – Darren Kopta; Son – Dustin “Byrd” Kopta (Casey); Mother – Betty Greene; Sister – Teresa Prevatt (Jim); Grandchildren – Bryson “Baby Byrd”; Madilyn; and Declan; Nephews – Ryan O’Neil; Ricky O’Neil. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church.
