Dean Bradley Woodhouse died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at Royal Care of Avon Park. He was 65. Dean was born on Oct. 30, 1958, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, and spent the last 23 years of his life in Florida, including the past nine as a resident of Highlands Wheel Estates in Sebring.

Dean dropped out of school in the ninth grade but went on to earn his GED and later attended community college, where he accumulated more than 75 college credits. During his working life, he held a variety of positions in healthcare, including patient transporter, nurse’s aide, and certified nursing assistant. He served briefly in the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge in 1983.

He is survived by two brothers, Johnny (Anne) Woodhouse of Jacksonville, Florida, and Randy Woodhouse of Valparaiso, Florida; a sister, Ann Reese of Phoenix, Arizona; a nephew, Daniel Woodhouse of Denver, Colorado; and a niece, Erica Reese of Los Angeles, California.

His remains will be interred in a family plot at Warren Smith Cemetery in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring is overseeing the funeral arrangements.
