Dean Evans Spiva

Dean Evans Spiva, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on October 18, 1948 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Dick and Elsie Christine (Lueck) Spiva. Dean retired as a civilian from the Coast Guard (Homeland Security), proudly served his country in the US Navy, was of Lutheran faith, was a member of the Men’s Golfing Association in Sun-N-Lakes, and has been a resident of Sebring for 5 years, coming from California. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Shanna; children - Justin Spiva (Paula) of California; Travis Spiva (Alison) of Plantation, Florida; Luke Spiva (Maggie) of California; brother – Don Spiva (Pam) of California. Surviving are also 5 grandchildren – Brandon, Ashley, Tessa, Sierra and Mallory. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Graveside service will be held with military honors at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
