David Michael Yeric

Dave Michael Yeric, 81, of Sebring, FL, passed away on January 5, 2025. Born on September 23, 1943, in Battle Creek, MI, Dave was the son of Gertrude and Frank Rohrig (step-father).  Dave proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, embodying the patriotism and dedication that defined his life. A proud American and devoted veteran, Dave remained active in the veteran community as a member of the Tanglewood Veterans Group in Sebring, FL, where he had resided since 2007 after relocating from Battle Creek.  An avid golfer, Dave found immense joy on the greens, both as a player and as a 13-year volunteer at The Masters Tournament. He was also a member of the Tanglewood Golf Association, where he made many friendships and memories. His love for the game mirrored his approach to life: disciplined, passionate, and full of humor.  Above all, Dave was a family man. He shared 56 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda (Worthington), a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they raised two children, Angie Price (Rob) of Bentonville, AR, and David Yeric II (Tammi) of Battle Creek, MI, who will always treasure the lessons, stories, and laughter their father brought to their lives.  Dave was a doting grandfather to five grandchildren—Chelsea Vranovci (Korab), Cassie Price, Cody Steele (Shannon), Brianna Brown, and preceded by Morgan Smith —and a proud great-grandfather to Payton Steele. Known for his warm humor, storytelling talents, and unwavering attentiveness, Dave enriched the lives of those around him.  Dave’s loyalty, determination, and social nature earned him the respect of many. He approached life with a unique combination of kindness and tenacity, always offering a helping hand or a hearty laugh. He leaves behind a legacy of love, patriotism, and cherished memories. Dave will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
