David Murel Watford

DAVID MUREL WATFORD David Murel Watford, 81, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, in Sebring. He was born July 29, 1930, to William David and Esther Mae (Crutchfield) Watford in Cottonwood, Alabama, and came to Sebring in 1939. He was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service and returning to Sebring in 1971. He was then employed by the U.S. Postal Service, from which he also retired. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sebring; the Elks and VFW. He is survived by his wife, Jane C. Watford of Sebring; his son, Michael Watford, The Woodlands, TX; daughter, Suzanne (Peter) Durden, Winter Haven, FL; daughter, Marcia Collins, Lakeland, FL; son, Donald Watford, Memphis, TN; sister, Kathryn Moyer, Selinsgrove, PA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church of Sebring with Rev. Darrell Peer officiating.
