David R. Schwan

David R. Schwan, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Marshall, Michigan on October 20, 1930 to Rudolph and Irene (Stout) Schwan. He was a mailman with the US Postal Service, served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War; member of the NARFE, NALC and Faith Lutheran Church. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1989 coming from Centerline, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Joyce Schwan, Sebring; Children, Paul & Sue Schwan, Ft. Myers, FL, Brian & Terri Schwan, Ventura, CA and Kathleen Schwan, Pune, India; Sisters, Gertrude Carter, Geraldine O'Hara, Joan Penn; brothers, Frederick Schwan and Carl Schwan; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
