David D Mcintosh

David McIntosh, 86, of Avon Park graduated into heaven on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. He was born September 20, 1931 in Ludlow, Massachusetts. 'Dave' graduated from Trade School with top honors in auto mechanics. He then worked at Monsanto for over 25 years. His career with Monsanto was interrupted by his service to our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After retirement, Dave started his second career as an associate pastor at First Church, Newport News, Virginia. In 2013, he relocated to Avon Park to be closer to his daughter. He continued to share God's love with all he met. Dave is preceded in death by his first wife Inez. He is survived by his second wife of 42 years Edith; children Kim, Fred, Teri, Lori, Jim, and Linda; grandsons Chris and David; great grandchildren Emily, Brayden, and Hunter. A service to celebrate Davids graduation will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at Bethany Baptist Church, 798 CR 17A South, Avon Park. Pastors Charles Pausley and John Girdley will be officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of The Good Shepherd and Florida Hospital for their tender care.
