David Garcia Martinez, Sr.

David Garcia Martinez, Sr., age 64, of Frostproof, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was born June 26, 1961 in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuatu, Mexico to Florentino Martinez Nieto and Clementina Zavala Garcia. David has farmed and worked in agriculture for his whole life, is of Catholic Faith, and has been a resident of Frostproof, Florida since 1979, coming from Mexico. He is survived by his Wife – Elizabeth Martinez of Frostproof, FL; Sons – David Martinez, Jr. (Mandy) of Ft. Meade, FL; Jamie Martinez (Jennifer) of Live Oak, FL; Amanda Martinez of Frostproof, FL; Aleecia Rhoden (Chantelle) of Frostproof, FL; Mother – Clementina Zavala Garcia of Mexico; 4 Grandchildren – Caiden; Julian; Jaxson; Sawyer; and numerous Brothers and Sisters. He is preceded in death by his Father. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with family receiving friends beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Silver Hill Cemetery, Frostproof, Florida.
