Born on October 24, 1959, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, David Walter Carrington was the beloved son of Sandra Bliss and Howard Carrington. He spent much of his life doing what he loved most, shrimping. The water was where he felt most at home, and the work was more than a living; it was part of who he was. A shrimper for over 50 years, David knew the Gulf like an old friend. The west coast of Florida, Hudson, especially wasn’t just where he lived, it was part of him.

When he wasn’t out on the water or delivering shrimp, you could often find him playing online poker, loving on his pets, or at the flea market. But no matter what he was doing, his favorite topic was always the same: his family. He proudly bragged about his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren every chance he got, sharing stories and photos with a smile that made it clear how deeply he loved them.

To those who knew him, David was steady and real. Someone you could count on.

He is survived by his two sons, Joshua (Christina), Justin (Tania), his daughter Melissa (John), and his brothers Allan and Chris Carrington. His love for them was constant, unconditional, and unwavering. A legacy that will live on through the lives they lead and the memories they carry.

David will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a shrimper at heart. He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, a family who cherished him, and a love that will never fade."
