Dave W. Meier

Dave W. Meier, age 70 passed away at his home with family by his side on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Sebring, Florida.  He was born on July 27, 1947 to the late Galen and Sevilla (Wright) Meier in Danube, Minnesota.  Dave had been a resident of Sebring since 2003 coming from Beulah, North Dakota.  Dave was of the Christian faith and his life and the way he treated people was a reflection of that faith.  For many years Dave operated his own Tire Store and then later worked as a driver of Motor coaches.  He was successful at both of these because of wonderful ability to relate to others.  Everyone that knew him liked him.  In his spare time he enjoyed working with wood.  However, his favorite past-time was spending time with his family.  His family was the most important facet of his life.  Dave is survived by his wife, Monica Meier; children – Melanie Smith (Tim) of Minnesota; Kristy Schultz (Randy) of Minnesota; Todd Meier (Kim) of North Dakota; Sadie Tyson of Sebring; Brandon Aanderud of Fort Myers; Andrea Buzalsky (Trevor) of North Dakota; Elizabeth Meier of North Dakota; Michael Mamer of Fort Myers; Mandie Meier of Sebring; sisters – Carol Nasby and Connie Anderson; brothers – Dennis, Curt, and Russ Meier;  he is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Dave was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson – Blaze.  A Celebration of Life will be held in Beulah, North Dakota at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Highlands County Humane Society, 7421 Haywood Taylor Boulevard, Sebring, Florida 33876.
