DANIEL KNOWLTON SMITH Daniel Knowlton Smith, 88, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010, in Sebring. He was born March 6, 1922, in Crooksville, Ohio to Harvey and Harriet Smith. He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith of Sebring and son, Danny Smith of Miami. He had three brothers, Gareth, Harold and Chuck and one sister, Elizabeth, all of whom are deceased. Dan and his wife Doris moved from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Sebring in 1975 and have made Sebring their home since. At an early age Dan began his studies of the bible, and in 1940 became a dedicated minister and one of Jehovahs Witnesses. He was active in preaching the good news of the kingdom along with other Witnesses associated with the local Sebring Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses located at 3201 Hammock Road, Sebring, Fl. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in care of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at the above address.
