Daniel Scott Brines

Daniel Scott Brines passed into the heavenly realm on February 16, 2018.  Daniel was born on March 15, 1954 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He graduated from Avon Park High School and Florida Atlantic University where he was accepted into the Mensa Organization. Daniel has resided in Illinois, Florida and Arizona during his working career.  Most recently he has served as the associate pastor at Spirit of Life Ministries, International in Sebring, Florida. Daniel was a beloved pastor there and leaves many friends and loved ones in that congregation.

Daniel was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Scott (Scotty) Brines, Jr. and his parents, Olin and Imogene Brines. He is survived by his grandchildren Matthew (and his mother Amber Mounger) of Florida and Rylan, Teagan, Ariella and Silas (and their mother, Courtney Dahlberg) of Illinois.  He is also survived by his sisters, Pamela Dakan of Durango, Colorado and Deborah (Cecil) Walley of Sebring, Florida, two nephews, three nieces and step-daughters Samantha and Sarah McDaniel of Illinois.

A visitation will be held at Spirit of Life Ministries, International, 1548 Lakeview Drive, Sebring, Fl, 33870 on March 3, 2018 from 1:30-2:30 with a short sharing of memories at 2:30 .  Burial will be in Albion, Illinois at a future date. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to donate to Spirit of Life Ministries, 1548 Lakeview Drive, Sebring, Fl. 33870 . , noted for the Dan Brines Memorial Fund, to benefit the grandchildren or to help fund funeral expenses.
