D. Jewell McClure D. Jewell McClure, age 90, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Ft. Ogden, Florida, on December 12, 1923 to Jackson and Della Collins and spent her formative years in Winslow, Arkansas, moving back to Florida where she had lived since 1934. She ministered to others with a servant's heart. Jewell was a prayer warrior and loved to read her Bible. She taught her children and grandchildren to pray and love the Lord. She was also very creative, and expressed herself over the years through sewing, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and writing poetry. She was a loving mother survived by her children: Linda Massey-Avon Park, FL; Melanie Robertson (Jim)-Sebring, FL; Sarah Coltharp (Steve)-Sebring, FL; John K. McClure (Ginger)-Sebring, FL; step-son: Donald M. McClure-Redding, CA; siblings: Lillie Mae Wynn-Avon Park, FL; Jack Collins-Avon Park, FL; Julius Collins-Ocala, FL; Charles Collins-Avon Park, FL; B.J. Collins-Inverness, FL; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jackson and Della Collins; her husband: Kelly McClure, Jr. and one grand-daughter: Lisa Mouser Bullard. There will be a funeral service on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church with Reverend George Hall officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm and the service will begin at 7:00pm. A private Interment will take place at Bougainvillea Cemetery.
