Cornelius F. Roche Sr.

Cornelius (Neal) F. Roche Sr, age 92, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in Sebring, FL. He was born October 31, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to Dennis F. and Mildred E. (Mitchell) Roche. Neal worked summers at General Motors while attending and graduating from the University of Maryland. While attending the university Neal met the love of his life and wife of 63 years Joan Beverly.  Neal made his career at GM (31 years), and retired as a Production Manager in MI. Neal was a devout Catholic, a member of Our Lady of Grace  Catholic Church and , a member of the Knights of Columbus 4 ^th Degree.  Neal has been a resident of Sebring for more than 20 years. Neal proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling and cheering on his Tampa Bay Bucs. Cornelius had a great sense of humor, quick wit and total playfulness about him. He is survived by his loving children- Patricia Weatherly; Joan Clark (Steven); Cornelius F. Roche Jr (Claudia); and Michael P. Roche. Surviving are also 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis F. Roche, wife Joan Beverly and son Timothy D.

Visitation will be held from 5:00- 8:00 pm  on Friday, September 17, 2021 at  Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Service to follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
