Cora Louise Kosky, age 84, of Sebring, Florida passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 with her beloved husband, Artie, at her side. She was born April 16, 1933 to Otto and Rose Roettinger Gran in Brooklyn, New York. Cora graduated from Hempstead High School, Hempstead, New York in 1950. She married Arthur Kosky on December 30, 1951 and lived together in Farmingdale, New York for over 40 years before moving to Hollywood, Florida, and later to Sebring, Florida. Cora retired from the New York Telephone Company and served as President of the Carriage Hills Homeowners Board of Directors in Hollywood, Florida. Cora was a volunteer at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center and a member of the Tanglewood Red Hat Society and Women’s Club of Sebring. She was passionate about Mahjong and played in the South Florida State College organized Heartland Games in 2017. Cora loved to travel and go to the movies with her husband, Artie, the love of her life. Cora is survived by her husband – Arthur; Children – Linda Reagan (John) of Arlington, VA; Thomas Kosky (Karen) of Milton, DE; Grandchildren – Danny Christensen of Salem, VA; Kevin Kosky of Smyrna, DE; Andrew Kosky of Denver, CO; Brother – Richard Gran (Jean) of Norfolk, MA; and Niece – Kathleen Gran of Saranac Lake, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson – Ian Kosky. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
