CONNIE JEAN ELDER BENNETT Connie Jean Elder Bennett, age 57, left this earth with her heavenly Fathers arms around her on October 26, 2009. She was born in Avon Park, Florida to Charles Edsel and Martha (Smith) Elder. She was owner/operator of Bennett Electric, was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Highlands County. She is survived by her Husband, Lester M. Tinker Bennett of Sebring, Florida; Daughters, Lisa Ann Brown (Wayne); Leslie Chitwood; Step-Daughter, Monika Prestwood (Jay); Michelle Kelley (Steve); Mother, Martha Elder Kohan (Sandy); Brothers, James Edsel Elder; Randall Mark Elder (Lisa Gay); Sister, Cathy Cay Anderson (Dave); Grandchildren, Chloe Chitwood, Zachery Brown, A.J. Chitwood; Step-Grandchildren, Peri Prestwood, Cole Prestwood, Dylan Kelley and Mitchell Kelley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time beginning at 1:00pm, Rev. Ken Geren officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
