Columbus Tony Rimes

CT passed on October 22, 2026, at age 87. He was born in Pahokee, Florida to Keylen and Ella Rimeson on January 16, 1939 and resided in Sebring, Florida. 

Even though he lived in and out of state, he always returned home. Over the years, CT built a life, cowboying turned into hauling cattle and heavy equipment for the Highlands County Road and Bridge Department. 

CT was known for his kind heart, love for the Lord, and his family and friends.

CT found joy in hunting, football, and going to church.

He loved spending time with his grandkids, and looked forward to the holidays to gather with his family. 

CT is survived by his daughter, Toni Neal; his son, Shon Rimes; daughter-in-law, Mandy; son, Mike Rimes and Tina; son, Tony Bishop; son, Kevin Schwarzott, and Bridget; his sister, June Wilson, and husband, Maryland; and grand-daughter, Harley Breeze Fincher. He is also survived by 8 grand kids and 11 great grandkids. 

CT was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rimes; brother, Harold Rimes; sisters, Margie Rimes, Virginia Rimes, and Estell Rimes; daughter, Vickie Rimes.

CT will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
