CLIFFORD J. MATTIVI Clifford J. Mattivi, 88, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011, in Sebring. He was born April 26, 1923, to John and Mary Rose (Hofer) Mattivi in Washington, Kansas, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1995 coming from Grove, Oklahoma. He received his Bachelors Degree from Kansas State Teachers College and was a Chemist for 34 years with Gulf Chemical Co. He was a member of the VFW and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army Infantry, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Mattivi of Sebring; sons, Greg (Vickie), Olathe, KS; Brad (Gail), Pittsburg, KS and Scott (Brenda), Leawood, KS; step-children, Patty (Allen) Miller, Girard, KS; Diane Hamilton, Seneca, MO; Randy (Terri) Hennis, Carthage, MO; Becky (Randy) Wagner, Carthage, MO; Ray (Renee) Roberson, Wharton, TX and Rene Roberson, Carthage, MO; sister, Beverly Tustin, Pittsburg, KS; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; 27 step-grandchildren and 24 step-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date in Pittsburg, KS. Those who wish may make memorial donations to their local VFW Post.
