age 76, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, in Sebring. He was born December 1, 1935, to Charles C. and Viola (Shephard) Smith in Bear Creek, Ohio, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1974, coming from Ohio. He had been employed in the construction industry as a carpenter; was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Assembly of God of Sebring. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Davis, Lakeland and Bonnie (Ronnie) Crawford, Jacksonville; sons, Phillip Stegal, Mansfield, OH; Donnie Gorman, Lakeland and Tim (Sheila) Smith, Sebring; brother Albert Smith, Arkansas; sister, Holly Smith, Mansfield, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma J. Smith; son, Richard Gorman; brother, Walter Smith and sister, Maybelle Lawhorn.Graveside services are being held on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL, with Rev.
