CLARENCE MILLER SHAMBLIN Clarence Miller Shamblin, age 87, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on August 8, 1924 to Wilbern and Viola (Dobbs) Shamblin. He was an electrician for the Dept. of the Army; member of Sparta Road Baptist Church; served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He enjoyed traveling and working with stained glass and also enjoyed working with his hands, and helping others any way he could. He is survived by his son, Adrian (Charlotte) Shamblin of Atlanta, GA; brother Gary Shamblin of Spokane, WA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Eudell Shamblin; brother, Clifford Shamblin; sisters, Ruby Willingham and Velma de Seife. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Geren officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour before service time beginning at 2:00. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Alzheimers Association.
