Clarence Everett Polston

Clarence Everett Polston, age 77, passed away on January 24, 2014 in Sebring, FL. He was born on September 8, 1936, in Holmes County, FL, to the late Benjamin E. and Tearsie (Holman) Polston. He has been a resident of Sebring since 1957, coming from Holmes County, FL. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia. He worked for E.O. Koch Construction Co. for 50 years serving as the General Manager and Vice President. He loved horses and trail rides. He was a founding member of the Florida Cracker Trail Association. He was a member of the Osceola County Wagon Train and Trailride, Inc. He was a member of the Kiwanis Noon Club for 44 years, also a member of the BPOE Lodge #1529. He served on the Highlands County Licensing Board, He was a member of the Poplar Springs Alumni Association in Graceville, FL. He especially loved and enjoyed his family. He is survived by his wife, Rose C. Polston of Sebring, children: Teresa Polston (John Friend) - Winter Haven; Donald Polston (Kristi) - Sebring; Brenda Dollar (John) - Orlando; Jennifer Koellner (Nick) - Sebring, step-children: Bartley Arrington (Jayne) - Arcadia; Nelson Arrington - Arcadia; Derek Arrington (Rachel) - Longwood, Brothers: Wilmer Polston (Juanita) - Columbus, GA; Wesley Polston (Joy) - Marianna, FL, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Eddie Polston, brothers: Olon Polston, Samuel Polston and Sidney Polston. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00am, at First Baptist Church in Sebring with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 304 W.
