Clarence "Jitt" Brown, Jr.

Clarence "Jitt" Brown Jr., age 65, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. Clarence was one of nine children; he was born May 25, 1949 to the late Clarence and Cara Bell (Moore) Brown, Sr. in Sardis City, Alabama. He was raised to be of the Baptist faith. As a young man Clarence moved to what would be his final resting place, Sebring, FL, where he was a resident for 46 years. Clarence was a dedicated employee of Crutchfield Groves, Inc. as a Citrus Caretaker for over 17 years. He enjoyed simple things in life such as teasing everyone, playing cards, and being with family and friends. He is survived by loving wife: Annie Brown, daughters: Betty Matthews, Tanya Johnson (Scott), Angela Young; siblings: John Brown (Valerie); Lee Brown; Pinky Brown; Maryann Brown, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Cara Bell Brown, Sr., siblings: Ola Mae Brown, Roosevelt Brown (Mary); Jesse Brown; and Charles Brown. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, October 11, 2014 beginning at 11:00 AM at Bountiful Blessings Church of God with Reverend Franklin officiating. Burial will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring immediately following the service Saturday.
