Clara Gale Cook

Clara Gale Cook, age 77, passed away on May 1, 2024, in Sarasota, FL. She was born on April 6, 1947, in Pembroke, NC, the daughter of William and Clare (Oxendine) Cummings.  She has been a resident of Sebring, FL  since 2010, coming from Red Springs, NC

Clara is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Cook, her stepchildren Sheri Johnson, Steven Johnson, Andy Cook, and Jennifer Wallace. She is also survived by her siblings Delano Cummings, William Jr Cummings, Wayne Cummings, and Lorrie Cummings, as well as seven grandchildren who meant the world to her. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lillian Dawson, and her brothers Ricky Cummings and Tommy Cummings.

Clara's life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments spent with family and friends. In her free time, Clara enjoyed listening to 60's and 70's music, fishing, watching documentaries, and cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers. However, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

The memorial service to honor and celebrate Clara's life will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home on Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL, USA, on May 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Her kind, loving, and lively nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.  She will be remembered for the cherished memories and lessons she imparted; her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
