Charles E Whitehurst

Charles E. Whitehurst, age 95, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born December 24, 1921 in Wauchula, FL to Murray and Thelma (Hogan) Whitehurst. He worked as an Inspector for the State of Florida Department of Agriculture, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II, was a member of the Hope Tabernacle Church, and a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1989. He is survived by his Wife of 63 years – Barbara J. Whitehurst of Avon Park, FL; Daughters – Sandra Whitehurst of Orlando, FL and Debra Ouimette of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his Brother – Murray C. Whitehurst, Jr. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
