CHARLES ARTHUR WAKELIN Charles Arthur Wakelin, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on July 19, 1921 to Elgin Arthur and Florence (Love) Wakelin; he was a member of Southside Baptist Church; member of the Evangelical Alliance Mission as a Missionary in Venezuela from 1951-1970; He was a certified Entomologist and was certified in Pest Control; He served with the Migrant Ministry, Missionary Gospel Fellowship from 1972-1982. He was a resident of Sebring since 1992 coming from Miami, FL. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Maude Wakelin, Sebring, FL; son, Douglas Arthur Wakelin, Sebring, FL; daughter, Charlene (Niles) Carmichael, Vero Beach, FL; sisters, Frances Berg, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and Gladys Hanson, Three Hills, Alberta, Canada; two grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Halsey Matthew Wakelin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Southside Baptist church with Rev. David Altman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time.
