Charles R Newton

Charles R. Newton, age 73, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Newton was born in Rudd, Iowa on August 3, 1939 to Irving L. and Lolabelle (Pennell) Newton. He worked in Quality Assurance at Koppers Corp. and Atlantic Steel, served in the United States Navy, member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Avon Park; he was an avid golfer, member of the Tanglewood Golf Association and had been a resident of Sebring since 2004 coming from Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Newton is survived by his wife-Janice Newton of Sebring, Florida; 7 children; 2 brothers; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and daughter and a brother. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Resurrection Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Pendrak officiating.
