Charles Albert Howze

Charles A. Howze, age 88, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was born October 17, 1928 in Fort Meade, FL to Charles David and Dahlia (Smith) Howze and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL. He worked as the Assistant Fire Chief for the Avon Park Fire Department, enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing, fixing things, and especially his family and friends. He is survived by his Daughters – Nita Ball (Alan) of Avon Park, FL; Susan Cook (Kenny) of Avon Park, FL; Son - Donald Howze (Pamela) of Sebring, FL; Sister – Esther Hendrick of Lakeland, FL; Brother – Charles David Howze, Jr. of Lakeland, FL; 5 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Sister – Connie Eudean Stansell and Brother – Aaron Howze. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
