Charles B. Williams (Chuck), 80, of Sebring, Florida, passed away December 26, 2010, at Highlands Regional Medical Center , Sebring FL. He was born February 10, 1930, in Syracuse, New York, the son of the late Hilda Williams- Elsbree and Bernard Williams. He was one of 4 siblings. In 1947, he married Maude Smith of Parish NY. Spending most of his childhood years in West Monroe, NY. Chuck graduated from Central Square High School. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a sonar technician. After his discharge, he was employed by General Electric in Syracuse, NY before venturing into a farm supply store in Parish, NY. Later he returned to his technical roots by installing lecturer hall media in the State Universities. This led to a career as an instructor in the language lab at the State University of New York Oswego, retiring after 28 years. After a number of years of being a snowbird Chuck became a Florida resident. He is survived by Maude now residing in Oneida, NY.; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Rita Williams of Parish NY.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Gary Osborne of Oneida, NY.; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Williams of Mexico NY,; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Debbie Williams of Camden NY. 8 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister Luella Brown of Syracuse, NY and brother Roger and sister-in law Lee Ann Williams of Apalachin, NY, a half brother George and Christine Elsbree of Baldwinsville NY, and half sister Sally Russell of Vero Beach FL. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by an infant child; and his brother; Robert. Mr. Williams has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held to honor his life at a time to be determined by the family in New York.
