Charles P. Anderson

CHARLES P. ANDERSON Charles Pitman Anderson, age 86, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 26, 2013, in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Morganton, North Carolina to William and Rachel Anderson. Both Charles and his wife, Lucille, joined Sudan Interior Mission in 1952 and faithfully served the Lord as missionaries for 37 years in Africa. Much of the time Charles served as an evangelist, church planter, Bible School teacher and did administrative work. Only eternity will show how many lives around the world have been touched through his example and testimony. He is survived by Lucille, his wife of 66 years; a brother, Jim; two daughters, Joy Harper and Jeanne Billings and two sons, Chuck and Neal, plus 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Charles' life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the SIM Chapel in Sebring, Florida, with Gerry Johnson officiating.
