Cecilia Macdonald

Cecilia MacDonald, 70, of Sebring, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, with her family at her side. She was born to the late Eugene and Grace (Keller) Sangnier, on November 14, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY. She has been a resident of Highlands County since 1991, coming from Jeffersonville, NY. She was of the Christian faith and retired from the City of Sebring Water Department, where she was a billing specialist. Survivors include: son – Scott MacDonald (Christina) of North Carolina; daughter – Kathy of Florida; sister - Deb Sangnier (Rick Brough) of Arizona; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two god-daughters; Lauren Selthafner and Rita Mayorga and one grand god-son; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence MacDonald and siblings, Eugene Sangnier III, Joanne Ferrandino and Mary Miller.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 am with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Stephenson-Nelson in Sebring.  Cecilia’s wishes are in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Children’s Museum of Highlands, 901 US Highway 27 North, Sebring, FL  33870.
