Cathy Lamb Montero

Mrs. Cathy Lamb Montero, 58, of Lake Wales, FL, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Good Sheperd Hospice. Cathy was born on October 22, 1965 and adopted by Guy A. “Buster” and Burnell Lamb.  Mrs. Montero’s passion was being a music teacher across the state of Florida, impacting thousands of lives everywhere she went. Her family, friends, colleagues, and students will remember the legacy she has left behind.

She is survived by her husband – Mark Montero; Her children- Danielle (Joshua) Port, Brian (Sarah) Montero, Catherine (Austin) Hughes, Erin Montero, and Ethan Montero; her sister- Michelle Lopez; brothers- Gary Lamb and Shawn Burton; and her grandchildren- Erylin Port, Kaden Port, and Rowyn Port. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents- Guy and Burnell Lamb; and biological mother- Linda Burton.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, November 12, at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or The Childrens Home Society of Florida.
