Catherine Love Allan Carfano born September 2, 1925, in Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on August 27, 2016. Her parents were James Clinton Love and Edna Tuck Love. She had two brothers, James C. Love, Thomas N. Love and one sister, Florence Love Enke, all preceded her in death. Catherine married Andrew Allan in 1942, they divorced in 1955 (deceased in 1972). In July of 1957 she married John Carfano (deceased in 1979. Catherine had four children, Andrea Allan Stock (James) of Sebring, Robert Allan (Mary Ann Mackay Allan) of Florence, AL, Erin Gail Allan Lewis (deceased 1992), and Anthony Carfano infant who died at birth in 1960. Catherine is survived by six grandchildren, John Stock (Pam), Michael Stock (Barbara), Andrew Stock (Brandi), James Stock, Jr. (Solly), all of Sebring and Rev. Mary Catherine Allan Akamatsu (Jeff) of Madison, AL, Angelita Stock Pargeon (Bruce) of Newark, OH, 12 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by her loving nieces, Dale Ramsey and Linda Haidle of Sebring, FL, nephews Ronald "Ronnie" Love of Sebring, FL, James "Jimmy" Love of Winter Haven, FL, William "Billy" Love of Ft. Myers and Eston "Bud" Enke of Bartow, FL and a cousin, Doug Tuck of Lake Placid. Many years of her work life Catherine worked as a waitress. Starting around 1949, she worked at the Gordon's Cafeteria, which was located on N. Ridgewood Dr. next to the original Sebring movie theater and near where the post office used to be but is now where the Sebring Police Dept. is located. She worked a number of years at the Circle Cafeteria which was then owned & operated by the Catron's and sometime later she worked at the Sebring Café located next to the Nancessewee Hotel on N. Ridgewood Dr., owned by Anna Lou Rutledge. Early in the 1970's she briefly managed the Elks Club Dining Room & Kitchen. Catherine died at the Somers Hospice House on Hammock Road. She had been under the care of the Good Shepherd Hospice at her daughter's home since June 18, 2016. There were so many caring people that touched Catherine's life these last few years & months and her family knows she would want to thank each and every one of you. Cremation arrangements were made with the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory, 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL. Following cremation, Catherine requested no formal funeral service, therefore the family will hold a private service at a future date.
