Carolyn Maynard

F. Carolyn Maynard, age 71, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born October 13, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN to George M. and Irene (James) Robinette. She worked as a manager with child care helping with housing, orphanages, counseling, and day care.  Carolyn has most recently been working with the Sebring Police Department as a Highlands County crossing guard.  She was a member of the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, past member of V.F.W., American Legion, Moose Lodge, and has been a resident of this area since 1988, coming from Chattanooga, TN.  Carolyn is survived by her Husband – Tom Maynard of Avon Park, FL; Son – George Maynard of Avon Park, FL; Brothers – Donald Robinette and Dana Robinette – both of Chattanooga, TN.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church.  She will be laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery on Monday, April 23, 2018.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Christian Academy, c/o Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, 2600 North Highlands Avenue, Avon Park, FL 33825.
